The first smart container gateway system at Da Nang Port, developed by Phenikaa MaaS
Da Nang Port Joint Stock Company is the first company in Vietnam's seaport system to successfully utilize smart gates in business activities. This will contribute to improve economic efficiency and ensure safety during epidemic prevention.

Being the firm that has the advantages and strengths in smart traffic solutions, Phenikaa MaaS was honored to corporate and develop the container smart gate system for Da Nang Harbor. Recently, Phenikaa MaaS along with Danang city also together developed Digital Journey - a smart application that manages and oversees the route of ambulances within the city.
Mr. Le Quang Duc - Deputy General Director of Da Nang Port Joint Stock Company, said that the automatic container gate - Auto Gate at Da Nang Port applies many technological solutions such as: recognizing container series numbers by ACCR algorithm combined with artificial intelligence; identifying the number plate of the tractors/trailers; PLC controls the opening and closing of the barrier, reading the indicator of the electronic weighing terminal; sending information to the driver's phone app via robot (RPA)... Therefore, customers can check in anywhere with the internet available, which helps shorten delivery time, saves costs in printing and storing, and recording, all information is all digitized.
This is also the first smart gate technology applied at Vietnamese ports, with two important goals: Paperless, and contactless. The utilization of smart container gates together with digital transformation, science, and technology in management, extraction, and production operation improves economic efficiency for the business.
According to Danang Port JSC, the integration of automatic container gate technology - Autogate has also minimized waiting time and errors, reduced costs for customers, increased objectivity, and transparentize information. At the same time, the smooth coordination between departments is significantly improved. Thereby, turning Da Nang Port into an online seaport, anytime, anywhere, efficiently and quickly.
In 2022, not only the AutoGate, but Da Nang Port will also continue to invest and upgrade the infrastructure for information technology, warehouse infrastructure, vehicles and equipment to continue to execute the existing efficient digital transformation strategy, aiming to the digital goal "one infrastructure, one database", putting customers in the center of business.
